Yeah, I know, that’s a poor excuse. But the 45th Street project has had me hopping, as has our little startup.

We’re moving to 45th Street two weeks from tomorrow, so you can imagine the state of our current house, my office and what’s left of my mind. Most of the renovation work is complete, save for a couple of sink installations and some cleanup work and details. The kitchen won’t be complete by the time we move, but it will at least be closed in, so we’ll be able to lock the place up.

Speaking of the startup, we got word recently that the State of Maryland has agreed to fund most of the cost of a lab project we’re doing in cooperation with a major US Government lab. What we hope is that the lab work will show that the concept we’ve been working on is applicable in the real world, and not just on paper. We really don’t have any doubts, but it’s always helpful to have tangible evidence. :-)

What concept, you ask? What lab? I know it will sound unusually coy (for me, anyway), but I’m not going to say just yet. I will tease you further, though, by saying that we will be in Dallas for a few days next week for this.
