InfoWorld has named Mac OS X (version 10.3, code named “Panther”) as best operating system of the year, and has named Apple’s G5-based Xserve best server hardware in its 2005 Technology of the Year Awards. The article says that Panther “set[s] the standard for simplicity and ease-of-use” among modern (read 64-bit) operating systems.
