T-Mobile has become the third cellular carrier to deploy a trial network of Flarion’s OFDM broadband wireless data network. The carrier said it has begun a trial of the technology in The Hague and has recruited an undisclosed number of users. Both Flarion and T-Mobile characterized the deployment as a means to measure usage and customer behavior.
Flarion’s system is also being tested by Nextel in North Carolina and Vodafone said last May that it has begun a trial in Japan.
