We wound up getting a total of 2.5″ of rain last night, nearly all of it falling in the four hours between 8PM and midnight. Thank goodness for dry basements and good drainage. According to the news people got stranded in their cars by high water less than two miles from here.
We’ve had 1.5″ of rain today. A half hour ago it was coming down at nearly 2.5″/hour. It hasn’t rained this hard here in a couple of years.
