Machine-to-machine telemetry could account for 20% of all wireless data traffic on Vodafone’s network in Spain this year, according to RDSL, although the overall volume of that traffic is not given and is likely miniscule. Nevertheless, some analysts predict that machine-to-machine traffic will represent 4% of total mobile revenue in Spain by 2006, rising to 20% in 2010.
